Property Description

The property is approached via a steep drive from one of three parking areas (maximum three cars) and is located in a mainly lawned garden with a good selection of mature shrubs. The sea views from the upper garden especially are superb.

The hall leads through to the large lounge and dining areas with fantastic sea views from the village of St Mawes to Pendennis Castle. This area has TV with Freeview, DVD, music centre, very comfortable settees and dining for 10 persons. A door from the lounge gives access to the balcony with chairs to enjoy the 180 degree sea view and the ever changing marine activity. The well-equipped kitchen has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a double electric oven with a ceramic hob.

There are 2 double bedrooms on this floor, each with 5ft beds, a family bathroom with bath, separate shower and wash hand basin and a separate WC with a wash hand basin, and a master bedroom with ensuite, shower, bath, wash hand basin and WC, completes the accommodation on this floor.

Stairs lead to the lower floor with a large parquet floored bedroom with four single beds, and a door to give access to the garden. The utility room with sink and washing machine and a shower room with WC with wash hand basin are also on this floor.

Outside the garden, that is steeply terraced and extends to about one acre, has a “plunge” swimming pool (available from June to September) that has a maximum depth of 4ft. There is a BBQ and garden furniture by the pool.

There are about 100 steps that lead down to Lower Castle Road, to the renowned Hotel Tresanton and the extensive village facilities. St Mawes Castle is two minutes’ walk away, as is a lovely coastal footpath that leads to St Just in Roseland and the beautiful waterside church. The centre of St Mawes is a five minute walk.

A cot and high chair are available.
