The show prides itself on running one of the top agricultural shows in the country. The numbers and quality of animals entered into the hundreds of classes improve year on year and people travel from further and further afield in the hope of coming away with an award.
Dog and goat sections are popular and well supported, as are the rare breed classes. Rabbits, cage birds, cavies - even bees get noticed here!
Cornish-grown and Cornish-produced food both in the trade section and in the cafes and restaurants is readily available.
Main ring entertainment is mounted on a grand scale and there are impressive displays of flowers, vintage vehicles and forestry. The countryside area is full of interest, the traditional steam fair is always popular and there are stages and avenues alive with music, song and dance.
Whatever your aim, find time to sit by the main ring, ice-cream in hand, and watch a world of entertainment process before you.Visitor or resident, farmer or trader, you are very welcome at this very special show.
In June in the main ring at Wadebridge you can see the Bolddog Lings Motocross Display Team twisting and turning in the air.
Then, back on the ground, there is a first for the Royal Cornwall – camel polo! Joseph’s Amazing Camels are bringing their brand new act to the show. It’s only been trialled once before and it promises to be both funny and exciting.
