I think this may be 26 year of holidaying at Porthgate! It continues to be fantastic and was another lovely week's break. Particular highlights include diving off the platform into the sea, mackerel fishing, cooking sausage's at Porthbean and the fantastic 40th Birthday celebration we had here.
We love Portscatho and we have had a very happy week at Porthgate. We enjoyed a trip to Falmouth and a fishing lesson - surprising entertaining! The sea was fantastic fun to swim in and the children thoroughly enjoyed scouting for things at the beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will come again.
Portscatho is such a special village and we had a wonderful week with fabulous sunshine almost everyday! Porthgate is perfect and we love the sheltered back yard and top terrace.
A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location! We have visited this area for many years but this was the first time in Porthgate. We hope to be back asap! Many Thanks for making the whole of our stay a dream.
Yet another super time staying in Portscatho. We loved our stay at Porthgate, it has everything we could need and more. Fantastic!
Porthgate was well presented with modern bathrooms and furniture. It's position was stunning, apart from parking which was a bit of a lottery. The bunk beds in the children's room were a bit rickety and our large (5') 12 year old was really as big as you'd want to sleep in them. We had an issue with the shower which was sorted amazingly quickly and had a change of towels and bed linen after a week, which was most welcome. A great family cottage.
