PORTSCATHO
Overlooking Gerrans Bay on the south coast of Cornwall, the pretty village of Portscatho is set around the harbour and small beach with boats moored inside the breakwater. In the adjacent square there is a grocery, bakery, a general stores, a butcher, artists gallery, gift shop, post office, The Plume of Feathers Inn (very popular with the locals!), the Harbour Club and The Boathouse restaurant.Portscatho is a popular location for holidaymakers with many good facilities. There are numerous self catering holiday properties in Portscatho ranging from quaint fishing cottages to larger houses and apartments, many with sea views. Portscatho is not a particularly large village so wherever you stay you will not be very far from the beaches and other village amenities.
Portscatho and Gerrans now merge as one larger village because they are so close together and easily accessible to each other. Gerrans is further from the shoreline on higher ground and hosts 'The Standard', a good pub for food and local ales, an estate agents, heritage centre, a popular tea room and curio shop, and a petrol station.
