Portscatho is a pretty village set around a traditional harbour and is a great location on which to centre your holiday.  The village has good local facilities, including a grocery, bakery, butchers, general stores, art galleries, and The Plume of Feathers pub.

In addition to its own harbour beach, there are nearby beaches at Pendower, Porthcurnick and Towan together with many coves accessible from the coastal footpath that runs all along the Gerrans Bay foreshore to St Anthony and the lighthouse and to Nare Head. The coast views are simply stunning and in clear weather from the higher ground it is possible to see the Eddystone lighthouse 40 miles up Channel.
