There are three popular beaches in and around Portscatho which are perfect for a family beach day, swimming, rockpooling and building those essential sandcastles.
Tatums beach is situated right in the centre of the village and is well used by families with small children.
Porthcurnick is the main beach for Portscatho and is a 10 minute walk along the coast path. There is lots of lovely soft sand here, especially when the tide is out, which is perfect for big games of beach cricket and rounders. A kiosk sells snacks, soft drinks and beach toys. Parking and toilet facilities are available.
Towan beach is an unspoilt stretch of sand about 30 minutes walk from Portscatho (or five minutes drive and a short walk), and is a favourite with locals for an evening barbecue.
