With its sheltered harbour, Portscatho is an ideal place to get on the water.
Small boats and dinghys may be launched in Portscatho but please contact the Harbour Master on 01872 580243 first. The Harbour Master is also able to arrange mooring facilities if you plan on bringing your own dinghy or towing boat with you on holiday.
The Percuil boat yard with its sheltered moorings at the head of the Percuil river is always ready to assist with maintenance and repairs as well as having a good number of moorings available on a short term basis.
Sailing lessons and boat hire are available from Bob Warren at Roseland Paddle and Sail at Percuil.
Portscatho Regatta is an annual event which usually takes place at the end of August - many families like to plan their holiday around this as it is a fun event (serious for the sailors of course!) which can be enjoyed by the whole family, both on and off the water.
