The Old Forge is a nicely converted blacksmiths forge in the picturesque village village of Ruanlanihorne, a short walk from the upper reaches of the Ruan Creek and River Fal.There is an excellent and very popular pub a few minutes walk away, and village facilities can be found a short drive away at either Tregony or Portscatho. Lovely woodland and creekside walks can be taken from The Old Forge and Carne and Pendower beaches are only a few minutes drive away.
Entry through the stable door from the parking area gives access to the lounge/dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and double oven, fridge, washer/dryer and microwave. The dining/lounge area has a dining table with four chairs, wood burner and two easy chairs. Also on the ground floor are the double bedroom, and shower room with WC and wash hand basin. There is a telephone available for all incoming calls but only local outgoing calls. WIFI is available.
A narrow staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor with double sofa bed, music centre, and TV with DVD. Headroom on the mezzanine is limited in places.
Heating is by night storage and panel heaters, and the wood burning stove.
Outside there is a pleasant decked area with garden furniture.
There is parking for two cars to the front of the property.
The Old Forge is a super, well equiped hideaway for two, or could be used in conjunction with Pedlars Cottage or Ruan Mill-both about 75 yards away.
