THE NEW INN, VERYAN
An excellent 16th Century Inn perfectly placed for exploring the Roseland. On top of a wholesome menu, the pub also has a lovely secluded beer garden to while away those summer lunches in the sunshine! The evening menu is served between 7pm and 9pm. The King's head lies in idyllic surroundings well off the beaten track. The pub has a separate restaurant area as well as a beer garden and outside terrace. The King's Head has gained popularity for, amongst other things, their signature Duck dish! A very friendly welcome awaits you here, as does fantastic service and beers.
THE SHIP INN, PORTLOE
Portloe is perfect for long cliff top walks and exploring the coastline. The Ship Inn is the only pub in the village situated just yards from the water's edge where fishermen work their boats. Needless to say there's plenty of fresh fish on the menu as well as traditional food with excellent Sunday roasts. Although there is a car park for the Ship Inn it soon fills up in the summer months, but there is a large village car park in Portloe a very short (and pleasant) walk away.
THE LUGGER HOTEL, PORTLOE
Set in a conservation area, at the foot of a valley with its picturesque cove and tiny harbour, Portloe is part of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by sweeping cliffs and headlands which form part of the Cornish Coastal Footpath, Portloe possesses an unrivalled beauty and enduring timelessness. A wonderful pub tucked away in the small village of Philleigh just minutes away from the King Harry Ferry and ten minutes from St Mawes. This 16th Century pub has a good seating capacity both inside and out and offers a very popular menu with a good amount of game and more traditional dishes together with fresh fish dishes. As with all the pubs on the Roseland, the Philleigh (as it is known) sports a good variety of local and national ales.
The Nare Hotel stands alone in extensive grounds above Carne Beach on the Roseland Peninsula, along the coastal path with wide sea views of Cornwall of Gerrans Bay and Nare Head. The Nare Hotel offers the comfort and elegance of a country house by the sea in a secluded and tranquil setting. Hundred House is a charming country house situated in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula boasting an excellent restaurant that makes good use of the available local produce on offer on the Roseland. The menu is traditional English with strong influences of the Mediterranean.
