PHILLEIGH ON THE ROSELAND PENISULAR CORNWALL

Located on the Roseland Peninsula close to the River Fal, Philleigh is a small yet scattered rural community, where its residents mainly live on farms or in hamlets.

This tiny tranquil Cornish village is in the heart of the countryside set within the rural Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. Famous for its superb sixteenth century pub, The Roseland Inn, Philleigh is ideally located for exploring and dog walking in the wild countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Meanwhile, only a ten minute drive leads to the popular beaches around Portscatho, a thoroughly child friendly area. The D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage are also only a short drive from Philleigh; this idyllic part of South Cornwall has much to offer visitors. A picturesque coastal walk leads to St Anthony Head at the southernmost tip of the Roseland Peninsula. This fine headland overlooks the spectacular entrance to one of the world's largest natural harbours, Carrick Roads and the Fal estuary. Philleigh is never short of beautiful scenery or historical sites, and offers a stunning retreat for all visitors.

We have several properties close to this little hamlet and many visitors return year on year to The Roseland Inn as their great tasting food is well known.
