Ruan Lanihorne Holiday Cottages
A LOVELY RURAL CORNISH VILLAGE, GREAT FOR WALKING AND EXPLORING THIS WONDERFUL AREA OF CORNWALL.
Our holiday cottages in Ruan Lanihorne have traditional Cornish character and charm. This village is a great spot to base your holiday, giving you good access to the coast path, local beaches and for exploring the rest of the Roseland.
Ruanlanihorne, as the parish is spelt, is entirely rural in character with wooded areas in the river valleys. The name Lanihorne is perhaps a modified form of Laryhorn (the Cornish name of this place). Ruan Lanihorne lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which has the same status and protection as a National Park.
Today the village benefits from an award winning pub, The King’s Head which is a great place to stop off at after a day’s walking or a day spent exploring the local area. Ruan Lanihorne is situated approximately four miles (6.5 km) east-southeast of Truro, 5 miles (8 km) from Portscatho/Gerrans and 8 miles (13km) from St Mawes.
