Property DescriptionSpry's Cottage is a traditional Cornish stone built cottage very conveniently placed in the centre of St Mawes, just a minute or so from the harbour.
The cottage is well placed in a quiet cul de sac yet within easy reach of the good range of village facilities including pubs, restaurants, beaches, banks, post office, Co-o, bakers, butchers, chemists and a deli. Foot ferries run from the harbour to Truro, Falmouth and Place. There are some lovely coastal walks for those who are energetic, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro are all within a 30 minute drive by car.
A small porch with a stable door leads into the hall off which are all the principal ground floor rooms.
The comfortable lounge has an open fire, TV and DVD.
There is a spacious dining room that leads to the large kitchen with an electric AGA, fridge and dishwasher.
A very useful ground floor shower room with WC and wash hand basin is situated just inside the back door.
Stairs lead to the first floor where the main bedroom has a 5ft brass bed. A twin room and a bunk room with a glimpse of the sea complete the sleeping accommodation. The family bathroom has a WC and wash hand basin.
The suntrap, twin level (take care with children) garden, is to the rear of the cottage, overlooks part of the village, has garden furniture, and is a super place for a lunchtime or evening BBQ. Please take care with children in the terraced rear garden. The small utility room in the garden houses a washing machine. There is a gate at the bottom of the garden that leads down some steps to take you close to the Rising Sun Hotel and the centre of the village.
Spry's Cottage has a very handy dedicated parking space a few yards from the front door, and there is further parking in the main village car park a minutes walk away.
WIFI is available.
The property is heated by the AGA and night storage heaters.

A lovely, warm, welcoming, homely cottage in a great location. Practical downstairs layout and floor/furniture for a busy, active family with a dog. Great being able to see the height of the tide and our children crabbing in the harbour from the back terrace!
We had a lovely week in St Mawes, the cottage was a great base for us and we were sad to leave.
What a lovely cottage. Very comfortable with lots of space. I loved the Aga, great for breakfast.
We really enjoyed the patio garden area with a view over the harbour, every evening spent drinking wine and watching boats!
Highly recommend for dog owners and good accesss down to the local pub.
We hope to return as this was a great holiday
A lovely cottage and so nice to see that it's much-loved by the owners.....please thank them (we would have liked a visitors' comment book). We were 4 with a 15 mth old baby and were made to feel welcome. The Aga was a real treat. One request would be for sets of water and wine glasses!
