ST MAWES BEACHES

St Mawes is blessed with three beaches. Tavern beach is perfect for children, situated near the Hotel Tresanton from where super ice creams may be purchased. The small beach next to the square and the Idle Rocks Hotel is in the heart if the village, and Summers beach is about five minutes walk from the square. This is the main beach for St Mawes and is always full of interest be it the Sailing Club's sailing courses being run from the beach, or youngsters enjoying the floating pontoon supplied by the Pier & Harbour Company. Summers beach has the benefit of being south west facing and therefore has sun all day long. The comings and goings of the boats to and from the moorings are always of interest and the beach has fine views out towards Carrick Roads and Falmouth.
