ESSENTIAL INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING.

Bookings are accepted by Portscatho Holidays (the agents) on the following conditions:

The price list shows the weekly rents and availability - please complete the booking enquiry form and forward to us. We will confirm to you either by email or telephone whether or not the property is available. We will reserve one property for up to five working days pending receipt of a deposit of 1/3 of the total rent.  Provisional bookings will be cancelled after such time without further reference. A small booking fee of £10 will be applied to each booking.

Once the agents have confirmed a booking to you in writing you are responsible for the balance of the rental which is due 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If you make the booking within 6 weeks of your arrival then the full rent is payable within 5 days of the booking.

The hiring contract is between the hirer and the owner of the property concerned. Portscatho Holidays act as agents for the owners and not as principals. The contract shall be deemed to be made when the agents have issued the confirmation of booking. Owners liability is limited to the rental paid.

Once Portscatho Holidays have issued you with a confirmation of the reservation you become liable for any remaining amount of rent. In the event of cancellation, refunds will not be given. Portscatho Holidays will make every endeavour to relet the property, but in the event that the property is not relet for the full amount detailed on the booking confirmation you will be held liable for any outstanding amount due. In any event a £35 administration fee will apply plus any incurred expenses. To minimise any FINANCIAL LOSS we strongly advise that you take out cancellation insurance. A proposal form will be forwarded to you with the confirmation of booking, please send your completed proposal and premium cheque to Rothwell and Towler or contact your insurance broker.

Any damage, breakage or anything giving cause for concern noticed on taking occupancy of the property must be reported within 48 hours to the caretaker or the agents. No complaints will be accepted after the termination date of the tenancy, or where the Tenant has denied the Agent or Owner the opportunity to try to put matters right during the tenants stay.

Your accommodation will have been cleaned ready for your arrival. You are expected to keep the property along with its fixtures and fittings clean during your stay, and when you depart to leave it in as clean and tidy a condition as you found it upon your arrival. We reserve the right to charge for any breakages and additional cleaning for properties left in an unsatisfactory condition. We reserve the right to insist upon a security deposit being paid even if it is not stated in the property particulars.

Tenants will not cause any annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of adjoining properties.

Where PETS are allowed in a property it is on the strict understanding that they are not allowed in any bedrooms or on any furniture at any time. At the end of the holiday all traces of the pet must be removed from the house and gardens. “No pets” in a property description may not guarantee that pets have never occupied the property.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the standard described for each property is correct and that all items of equipment described and supplied by owners are in good working order. However no guarantee is given or liability accepted if any breakdown occurs. Repairs are always effected as soon as possible although delays do sometimes occur.

All details in the brochure and on the website are given in good faith and are believed to be correct but their accuracy is not guaranteed.

All bookings are at the discretion of the owner and agents. Please be aware that some of the older cottages may show signs of salts on the walls due to their traditional forms of construction. This is a normal feature and should not be a cause for concern.

Please note that all our properties are non smoking.
