ESSENTIAL INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING .Bookings are accepted by Portscatho Holidays on the following conditions.
The price list shows the weekly rents and availability, please complete the booking enquiry form and forward to us. We will confirm to you either by email or telephone whether or not the property is available. We will reserve one property for up to five working days pending receipt of a deposit of 1/3 of the total rent. Provisional bookings will be cancelled after such time without further reference
Once the agents have confirmed a booking to you in writing you are responsible for the balance of the rental which is due 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If you make the booking within 6 weeks of your arrival then the full rent is payable within 5 days of the booking
The hiring contract is between the hirer and the owner of the property concerned. Portscatho Holidays act as agents for the owners and not as principals. The contract shall be deemed to be made when the agents have issued the confirmation of booking. Owners liability is limited to the rental paid
Once Portscatho Holidays have issued you with a confirmation of the reservation you become liable for any remaining amount of rent. In the event of cancellation refunds will not be given. Portscatho Holidays will make every endevour to relet the property, but in the event that the property is not relet for the full amount detailed on the booking confirmation you will be held liable for any outstanding amount due.
In any event a £35 administration fee will apply plus any incurred expenses. To minimise any FINANCIAL LOSS we strongly advise that you take out cancellation insurance. A proposal form will be forwarded to you with the confirmation of booking, please send your completed proposal and premium cheque to Rothwell and Towler or contact your insurance broker.
Properties are available for occupation from 3.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure
Any damage, breakage or anything giving cause for concern noticed on taking occupancy of the property must be reported within 48 hours to the caretaker or the agents. No complaints will be accepted after the termination date of the tenancy, or where the Tenant has denied the Agent or Owner the opportunity to try to put matters right during the tenants stay.
Your accomodation will have been cleaned ready for your arrival. You are expected to keep the property along with its fixtures and fittings clean during your stay, and when you depart to leave it in as clean and tidy a condition as you found it upon your arrival. We reserve the right to charge for any breakages and additional cleaning for properties left in an unsatisfactory condition. We reserve the right to insist upon a security deposit being paid even if it is not stated in the property particulars.
Tenants will not cause any annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of adjoining properties.
Any articles left by a tenant can be forwarded upon receipt of a minimum handling fee of £10 inc vat. Any unclaimed articles will be disposed of after 28 days
Neither Portscatho Holidays nor the owner of a property can accept responsibility for work taking place outside the boundary of the property, nor for any noise or nuisance arising from works over which the owner or Portscatho Holidays have no control.
Neither the property owner nor the agents shall be responsible for any accident or loss or damage which may be sustained by the tenant, or any member of his/her party, or visitor, or to their property, however caused. When a swimming pool is included in a property letting the owner and agents cannot accept any liability arising from the use of the pool which is at the tenants own risk.
If for any reason beyond the owners control the property is not available on the date booked, all rent and charges paid in advance by the tenant will be refunded in full and the tenant shall have no further claim against the owner or agents.
Accomodation is let for the number of persons specified in the property particulars only and excess of these numbers cannot be accepted.
Where PETS are allowed in a property they are not allowed in any bedrooms or on any furniture. At the end of the holiday all traces of the pet must be removed from the house and gardens. "No pets" in a property description may not guarantee that pets have never occupied the property.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the standard described for each property is correct and that all items of equipment described and supplied by owners are in good working order. However no guarantee is given or liability accepted if any breakbown occurs. Repairs are always effected as soon as possible although delays do sometimes occur.
All details in the brochure and on the website are givenin good faith and are believed to be correct but their accuracy is not guaranteed.
All bookings are at the discretion of the owner and agents.
Please be aware that some of the older cottages may show signs of salts on the walls due to their traditional forms of construction. This is a normal feature and should not be a cause for concern.
