Lovely house overall, a few repairs/replacements needed

"We loved our stay here and would book again. It's a fairly steep walk up to the house from St Mawes, but our three-year-old managed fine, as did a relative with a heart condition, albeit slowly. The house is really well-stocked with things to make a stay easier and more enjoyable, for example lots of cooking utensils including a food processor/mixer, as well as thoughtful things like some garden toys, board games and children's toys, useful books. The sitting room is very comfortable and there's a DVD player as well as the TV. The downsides were: a rather uncomfortable mattress and pillows in the master bedroom; some fixtures and fittings throughout the house that needed repairing or replacing; very smelly drawers in the master bedroom; the windows upstairs are almost impossible to open; quite a few light bulbs were missing; the lighting in the sitting room is inadequate if you want to read after dark; the walls are very scuffed and could do with re-painting. If you don't mind these things then the benefits of the house outweigh these details."

Thank you for the feedback on the house, certainly a few things for us to look into and rectify. Beds are always a difficult thing as everyone's needs are different and it is difficult to accommodate them all. The house is well situated and has the benefit of parking and an enclosed garden for the family to play in. I am glad that you were able to benefit from all the children's toys that are left in the house.

"The house was light and very accessible to the verandah and garden. All facilities were available although it took some time to dry out the cushions for the garden furniture, perhaps these could be stored somewhere and identified on the instructions. Otherwise, all was fine thank you."
