Sunny Banks is a large detached house with elevated views across the Percuil river .
Only a five minute walk takes you to the centre of St Mawes with its good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are foot ferries to Place, Falmouth and Truro. St Mawes is renowned for its friendly nature and mild climate.
Sunny Banks is maintained to a high standard and with the living accommodation on the first floor you have the benefit of lovely water views from the from the balcony across Summers beach to the St Anthony's peninsula.
The kitchen dining area is well equipped with dish washer, microwave and fridge freezer and TV, and the spacious lounge has a wood burning stove, Smart TV, Sky, DVD. There is also a single bedroom on this floor that is ensuite with a shower.
On the ground floor there are three bedrooms. The hall gives access to all the downstairs rooms that consist of:- master ensuite double bedroom with bath and shower, a further ensuite (shower) double bedroom, and an en suite (shower) twin room. The utility room with a washing machine and drier gives access to the rear garden.
The rear garden is enclosed lawned and terraced and has a set of substantial furniture and BBQ and a new gazebo, ideal as an undercover outdoor eating area.
Free Hi speed WiFi is included.
This property has the benefit of central heating plus the wood burner and off road parking for three cars.
Dogs are accepted at Sunny Banks at £25 per week.
A cot and high chair are available upon request, and there is a payphone installed for guests convenience.
A damage deposit of £150 is required.

Our Stay at Sunny Banks, St Mawes

"We have been to Sunny Banks for a few years and we always enjoy returning to it. It is spacious and accommodates 7/8 people, you never feel on top of one another. The property has been re-decorated and updated since last year and to a good standard. It is well equipped and provides everything you would need away from home. On a slight down side we did notice that the floors under the front and backroom doubles were very dusty and also under the fire in the lounge. When sitting on the settee this was very noticeable. Apart from this we had a very happy stay once again."

Perfect Property with Great Views

"Second time we have stayed at this property and still as fantastic as the first, with the addition of fresh decoration and some upgrades this time. We love sitting out on the balcony and admiring the great views as this is an upside down property. We had a dog first time we went and the garden is fully secure & enclosed. Has all the equipment and comfort required for a home from home stay and plenty of space for a large family with many bathrooms. Walk back up the hill from the Harbour will keep you fit if you have eaten too much like us !! Great location for walking around the Roseland coastline but also easy access with the ferry to Falmouth, and car ferry to Truro for additional outings. "

Quality place to stay

"Plenty of room for our 5 adults and dog. With each bedroom having an en suite plus an extra loo, mornings were restful with no bathroom clashes. The upside down living (sitting room and kitchen upstairs) provided lovely views and beautiful light. We enjoyed using the log burner in the sitting room too. Not everyone would welcome the single upstairs bedroom being the main route to the garden but as we didn't need to use it as a bedroom, it was no problem for us. The gazebo and garden furniture are great. The kitchen was well equipped with an additional large fridge freezer in the utility room. The kitchen table seats 8 easily and was used for dining and board games. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery but you might want to take some kitchen towels. Be prepared for the steep walk up from the harbour, it did get easier as we got more used to it. The local co-op was well stocked. The Rising Sun in the village cooked lovely food and the trip over to Falmouth on the boat was good fun. "
